AVR Ecosystem

We incubate multidisciplinary businesses to join together to seek new and disrupting existing markets, establish co-operation between companies and public organisations.

About AVR Ecosystem

AVR Ecosystem is a Finland-based alliance for marketing and transferring knowledge, products and services within the field of augmented and virtual reality (AVR). AVR has tremendous potential to become the next big computing platform with great expectations for new and disrupted markets in different industries.

In our vision AVR together with emerging technologies such as AI, IoT and 5G creates a massive shift in the job market. As AVR provides precise and real-time contextual knowledge when needed, it renders many well-known jobs obsolete or much easier to learn. Parallel to that, totally new industries and positions are born. The whole shift has a huge impact to the world economy and we see it as our path for gaining growth.

As an alliance, we incubate multidisciplinary businesses to join together to seek new and disrupting existing markets, establishing common interests between companies and public organisations, and launching joint R&D initiatives.

National AVR Ecosystem was founded in summer 2017 and is now starting operations and establishing regional hubs in Southwest Finland, Helsinki metropolitan area, and Oulu region.

Regional Ecosystems

As each region has a slightly different structure, regional ecosystems concentrate on boosting business and tech solutions that could help solve specific challenges in their local area. Regional ecosystems connect the specialized knowledge and expertise of regional players and channels in the search for new and disrupting markets as a joint force globally through a nationwide body. Regional ecosystems consist of a wide variety of local companies, major higher education institutes, research organizations such as VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland and co-operating other industrial non-overlapping organizations. Each regional ecosystem has a local coordinator supporting the needs of companies.
